Hamburger Sliders image

This makes a quick high-protein, low-carb lunch that can be eaten with bread or rice, or eaten with a side salad or slaw for those of us watching our carbs.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 lb lean hamburger
1 1/2 cups pepper, strips
1/2 onion, sliced
3 -4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 slices extra-sharp cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Cook hamburger, breaking into pieces until you see no pink.
  • Add minced garlic and sautee for 1 minute.
  • Add onion and pepper strips and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Melt the cheese on top of the dish and divide between four people.
  • This will make eight sliders if eaten with rolls. This can be topped with a bit of hot sauce or tomato sauce for an extra kick.
