Grilled Portobello Mushrooms with Blue Cheese image

Excellent idea for the grill! Anyone who loves mushrooms or blue cheese will love this recipe. When it is done, its like a mini gourmet pizza. This recipe goes well with grilled steak and grilled asparagus.

4 portobello mushrooms, stems removed
4 ounces crumbled blue cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Place mushrooms, gill-side up, on a work surface; fill each with 1 ounce blue cheese.
  • Cook mushrooms, blue cheese-side up, on the preheated grill, rotating every 5 minutes, until mushrooms are tender and cheese is melted, about 20 minutes.
