Green Garlic Dip image

If you are fortunate (as I am) to have a grocer who carries green garlic, you might want to try this dip which I whupped up. This goes great with artichokes.

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 green garlic (garlic scapes), cut into pieces
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon dry sherry
lemon, juiced
½ jalapeno pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped
1 cup sour cream
salt and black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Place the green garlic, cilantro, olive oil, sherry, lemon juice, and jalapeno pepper into a blender or food processor. Blend until pureed. Scrape into a bowl, and mix in the sour cream until evenly blended. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Refrigerate before serving.
