Greek Chicken image

Greek chicken is one of my all time favorite meals. This one is very close to the Greek Chicken made in Greek restaurants throughout the world. It's a classic that everyone should know how to make. Enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 8

4-6 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
1/2 c olive oil
2 Tbsp garlic, minced
3 Tbsp lemon juice & zest (if you wish)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp thyme, dried
1 tsp oregano, dried

Steps:

  • 1. Cut each chicken breast into half, or you can leave them whole if you wish.
  • 2. Place the chicken into a rectangular oven dish.
  • 3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice & zest, salt, pepper, thyme and oregano.
  • 4. Pour the mixture over chicken.
  • 5. Cover with aluminum foil.
  • 6. Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour. Check chicken often to make sure it is done.
  • 7. This is best served with rice and/or oven potatoes and some pieces of feta cheese on the side.
