Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Mix sugar, shortening, milk, eggs, and vanilla, Batter will be slightly lumpy. Add in flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Batter will smooth out with the addition of flour. Add oatmeal.
- Drop in round teaspoons on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
