Grandmother's Banana Bread image

This recipe comes from the recipe box of my grandmother.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 3/4 cup(s) all-purpose flour
2 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
2 large eggs
1/4 cup(s) milk
1/4 cup(s) wesson butter flavored oil
1 cup(s) bananas, mashed
2/3 cup(s) sugar
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
1/2 cup(s) broken nut meats

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Sift the flour, baking soda, salt and sugar together. Set aside. Beat eggs, milk, oil, bananas and vanilla together until smooth. Stir in dry ingredients and broken nut meats. Mix well. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour or until golden brown.
  • You can make a glaze of 1 cup powdered sugar, 4 Tbsp. milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla for cake, if desired.
