My grandmother, from Newfoundland, made this delicious banana bread for us when we were growing up; I haven't changed a single thing and it reminds me of her whenever I smell it baking in the oven, especially on a cold, snowy winter day!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Lightly grease loaf pan (or use 18 muffin liners)
- In large bowl, mix together the eggs, sugar and butter. When thoroughly mixed, add mashed bananas.
- In small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Slowly fold into the banana mix. If desired, add ¾ cup of walnut pieces. Pour mixture into lightly greased loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour.
