Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350/375. Blend the shortening and sugar together. Add the eggs and vanilla and water. Mix flour and baking soda and salt in plastic bag and shake up. Add to shortening mixture. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Bake 10 to 12 minutes! Remember cookies continue to cook even after being removed from the oven, so remove them while they are slightly underdone, if you want soft, chewy cookies. Cook them longer for crisper, more well done cookies.
