GOVERNOR'S FAVORITE CRAN-APPLE PIE image

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 double crust
3 cups heaping cups of apples, peeled and sliced
2 cups heaping cups cranberries, cut in half
2 cups sugar and little to sprinkle over
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup nutmeats, coarsely chopped
dash ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon rum

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Press the bottom crust into the tin. In a large bowl, mix the apples, cranberries, sugar, flour, nutmeats, and cinnamon together, and pour into the crust. Top with thin slices of butter and the rum. Cover with the slitted top crust, and flute. Sprinkle with a little sugar, and bake 1 hour, until a knife comes out clear.
