Good O'Cheese & Onion Sandwich image

Was talking the other day with my neighbor friend about the good old days and our parents; when I remembered my Dad always eating a onion sandwich. I never would try it as a kid, but since then I love a big slice of onion on a lot of sandwiches I make. My friend told me about one that her Mother makes and I read the recipe and...

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 ounces of cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp finely chopped sweet onion
2 Tbsp finely sliced scallions, with greens
2 Tbsp mayonnaise
salt and peper to taste
4 slices of bread, toasted or untoasted
butter

Steps:

  • 1. Grate the cheese in a bowl.
  • 2. Add the onions and mayonnaise.
  • 3. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 4. Mix all ingredients together.
  • 5. Spread butter on your bread.
  • 6. Spread onion mixture on one slice of bread and place the other slice of bread on top and cut in half.
  • 7. *Really good served with your favorite soup.
