Garlicky Cherry Tomato Dip | Recipe image

This is Yussi's newest homemade dips for Shabbat. It's full of cherry tomatoes and garlic and delicious served warm with challah. Enjoy!

Provided by @MakeItYours

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 cup Gefen Light Olive Oil
12 cloves garlic, sliced
approximately 25 ounces cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup Baron Herzog White Zinfandel
Tuscanini Tomato Paste
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
basil, scallions, or parsley (optional)

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a saucepan. Add the sliced garlic and sauté just until the edges start browning (this will happen quickly). Add the cherry tomatoes and let it simmer on a medium-low flame for five minutes.
  • Add the Baron Herzog White Zinfandel, a squeeze of the Tuscanini Tomato Paste, salt, and pepper with some fresh basil leaves (or scallion/parsley), if using. Let it simmer for another 15 minutes and taste. Crusty challah is a must with this!
  • Best served warm. BHIS at its best!
