GAMBAS AL AJILLO (SHRIMP IN GARLIC) image

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 cup olive oil
1 large clove garlic, peeled and sliced
1 large dry red chile, chopped and sliced thinly
2 lbs. fresh shrimp, shelled and deveined

Steps:

  • Place a cazuela or a deep frying pan over medium heat. Add olive oil. When oil is hot (steam comes off surface), add garlic. Sizzle until golden in color, about 30 seconds. Add chiles and heat another minute or until chiles are fragrant. Turn off heat just as garlic starts to brown and add shrimp. Cook for about 2 minutes until shrimp just turn pink. Season with salt and black pepper.
