Frozen Orange Dessert image

I found this recipe in a book I got at a yard sale, I have never heard on one like this one!

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 c flour
1 pkg coconut cream pudding mix (not instant)
1/2 c crisco
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp butter, softened
1 egg
2 pkg 8oz. each cream cheese, softened
3/4 c powdered tang orange drink
1/2 c sugar
3 eggs
1 can(s) mandarin oranges, drained
2 pkg cool whip whipped topping

Steps:

  • 1. Blend the first 6 ingredients together, to make a crust and spread in a ungreased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350* for 12-15 minutes, Cool.
  • 2. In a large bowl; combine the cream cheese, tang, and sugar beating 3 minutes until smooth. Add 3 eggs, one at a time beating well, Fold in 2 regular tubs of cool-whip whipped topping and mandarin oranges,
  • 3. Pour over cooled crust, cover with foil and freeze overnight, serve slightly thawed... Enjoy!
