1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/4 pounds lean beef flank steak, cut into 1/4-inch slices against the grain
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 large onion, sliced
1 head broccoli, cut into florets (about 6 cups)
1/2 pound thin green beans, trimmed

3 cups cooked brown rice

Steps:

  • 1. In a small bowl, whisk together broth, soy sauce, vinegar, cornstarch, five-spice powder and red pepper flakes. Set aside. 2. Heat 1 tbsp of the oil in a large nonstick skillet or wok.
