Fish in Black Bean Sauce image

Very tasty dish

Number Of Ingredients 15

FOR THE SAUCE
4 Tbsp black bean sauce
1 Tbsp ginger grated
3 clove garlic minced
3 Tbsp shaoxing wine
1/4 c chinese fermented black beans (optional)
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
1/4 c sugar
FOR THE FISH
2 lb fish fillets ( i used trout)
1 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp oil
1 medium onion sliced
1 red bell pepper sliced
3 clove garlic minced

Steps:

  • 1. Whisk the sauce ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside. Rub the cornstarch on the fish and set aside.
  • 2. Add the oil to a wok or large skillet. Add the onion, and red bell pepper and saute until softened. Add the garlic fish and reserved sauce. Cook until fish is done.
  • 3. Serve with rice
