Easy Crock Pot Potato Soup image

Easy soup recipe that takes just a few ingredients and tastes so good!! I have also used diced potatoes when I didn't have the frozen ones on hand, but they did get a little mushy. Still tasted great!!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pkg 1 30 oz bag of frozen o'brien cut potatoes (or can use frozen shredded hash browns)
3 can(s) 14 oz cans chicken broth
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1/2 c chopped onion
1/4 tsp ground pepper seasoning
1 pkg cream cheese (do not use fat free - it won't melt!!)

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all the ingredients in the crock pot EXCEPT the cream cheese. Cook 6-8 hours on low heat.
  • 2. About 1 hour before serving, add the cream cheese and keep heated until thoroughly melted.
  • 3. Serve with cheddar cheese, bacon bits, sour cream dollops, whatever sounds good on top!!
