Dreamsicle Cake image

Instead of using orange extract, I usually use a few drops of orange flavored drink mixes (like the MIO things to put in your bottle of water) It gives the topping a nice color and I like the flavor better. You can also do this recipe using a strawberry cake mix with strawberry flavoring for the topping. I have also used those...

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 box orange cake mix
1 box orange gelatin
1 box instant vanilla pudding
1 c milk
1 tsp orange extract
1 pkg container of whipped topping

Steps:

  • 1. \Make orange cake mix according to directions. Make holes in cake while still hot. Make orange gelatin with 1 cup boiling water. Pour gelatin over cake while still hot. Cool cake completely. Make vanilla instant pudding with only 1 cup milk. Add vanilla, orange extract, and whipped topping. Mix spread on cake. Refrigerate!
