3 c sugar
1 c salad oil
1 can(s) 16-ounce can pumpkin
1 eggs, beaten
3 1/2 c flour
2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon, ground
1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1 tsp allspice, ground
1/2 tsp cloves, ground
2/3 c water

Steps:

  • 1. Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs and pumpkin: mix well.
  • 2. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, nutmeg, allspice cinnamon, and cloves. Add to the pumpkin mixture alternately with the water. Mix well after each addition.
  • 3. Pour into 2 well-greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pans. Bake at 350ºF. for 11/2 hours, until loaves test done. Let stand 10 minutes. Remove from pans to cool. .
