Decaffeinated Lemon Flavored Iced Tea image

This is a delicious lemon flavored iced tea which I make with Saccharin Sweetener, as well as Lipton Decaffeinated Tea Bags, a bit of powdered Lemon Flavored Kool-Aid, or Wyler's Lemon Flavored Drin Mix. It's the powdered lemon drink mix that gives this iced tea lots of flavor.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pinch(es) of baking soda
2 cup(s) boiling water
10 - decaffeinated tea bags
28 - packets of saccharin sweetener
2 teaspoon(s) of either lemonade kool-aid or wyler's lemon flavored drin mix
6 cup(s) cold water

Steps:

  • 1. Add a pinch of baking soda in a 2-quart heat-proof pitcher. (I add mine to a gallon size glass jar. I displayed a photo of the gallon size glass jar.)
  • 2. Add 2 cups of boiling water, then add the tea bags.
  • 3. Cover the pitcher, and allow to steep for 15 minutes.
  • 4. Remove the tea bags, and squeeze them to release more of the tea, then discard them.
  • 5. Now add the 2 teaspoons of either the powdered Lemonade Flavored Kool-Aid, or the Wyler's Lemon Flavored Drin Mix, and stir well.
  • 6. Add the cold water and stir.
  • 7. Refrigerate until chilled, then pour in glasses filled with the lemon and tea flavored ice cubes.
  • 8. Yields: 2 quarts
