Crumb Top Apple Pie image

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 medium-size tart apples
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
3 tablespoons water
1/2 cup sugar

Crust:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar

Steps:

  • Peel, core and slice apples in pie dish. Dot with butter chips and sprinkle nutmeg and water and sugar. Crust: Mix flour and butter and brown sugar with fork until crumbly and spread over top. Bake in 400° oven for 20 minutes; then 350° for 15 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
