Crock Pot T-Bone Steak image

Ever tried cooking a T-bone steak in a slow cooker? If not, you're missing out. This slow cooker recipe for T-bone steak is simply awesome. Cooking it in a slow cooker adds an extra juiciness to the steak. T-Bone Steak is usually best when it is grilled medium rare & very juicy. I tried cooking it in the Crockpot & found that the steak was very flavorful & tasty even though the same grilled taste is not there. Still I rotate on how I cook my T-Bone Steak, either by grilling or slow cooking because this recipe is actually very good & the meat is very juicy.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 medium t-bone steak
5 clove(s) garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt & pepper
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil, extra virgin
2 tablespoon(s) flour
1/4 cup(s) mushrooms, fresh, sliced
1 medium potato, sliced thin

Steps:

  • In a skillet, mix the olive oil, garlic, salt & pepper. Now add the T-Bone steak & brown both sides.
  • Place the potato into the crock pot & the steak over it. In the skillet, saute the sliced mushrooms, sprinkle with flour to slightly thicken & the pour over steak. Cook on low for 8 hours & the steak should be very tasty.
  • NOTE: The bigger the crock pot & the smaller the steaks...you may be able to fit two steaks in as long as they are not doubled over each other & lay flat on potatoes. If you can fit two steaks, don't forget to double the recipe. CROCK POT T-BONE STEAK REVISION: For those who would prefer not to have the bone, cut the meat around the bone & use the same cooking method. This way 2 - 3 T-Bone Steaks can be used.
