Crock Pot Carnitas image

What a tasty way to cross the border and not leave your house! Add fresh veggies and sour cream to the tortilla and then add the meat. Yum!

4 lb boneless pork shoulder roast
2 tsp salt
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 small bay leaves
1 can(s) chicken broth
1 bag(s) tortillas (flour)

Steps:

  • 1. Place bay leaves in the bottom of the crock pot. Mix all spices together. Coat one side of roast with spices & place on top of leaves & sprinkle the rest of the spices on roast. Pour broth around the sides of the roast, careful not to wash off spices. Cover and cook on low for 9 hours. Remove and shred with a fork. Use liquid as needed to moisten meat. Fill tortillas with whatever fixings you like.
