CREAMY PEACH COBBLER image

One of my "throw together" recipes. So creamy and rich...it will melt in your mouth. Great served alone or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Number Of Ingredients 18

PEACH FILLING:
1 lb frozen peaches
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 c brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
COBBLER:
2 c all purpose flour
2 and 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 c granulated sugar
1 can(s) (12 oz.) evaporated milk
1 can(s) (14 oz.) condensed milk
1 stick butter
TOPPING:
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/3 c brown sugar
4 Tbsp butter

Steps:

  • 1. Peach Filling: In a large pot, mix frozen peaches, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cover and let simmer on a very low burner until peaches are thawed and tender. Set aside to cool.
  • 2. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt the stick of butter in a 9x13 pan in the oven. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Add the evaporated milk, condensed milk, and vanilla extract, and mix until well blended. Pour mixture on top of melted butter in pan.
  • 3. Layer the cooled peaches with the juice on top of the batter. Slice the 4 tablespoons of butter onto the top. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly on top.
  • 4. Bake at 350 degrees until done (about 50 to 60 minutes).
