CREAMY AUTUMN POTATOES image

1 Tbsp Butter
1/2 cup frozen chopped onion
1/2-1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) condeced cream of cellery soup
1 package cream cheese cubed
3-4 cups frozen southern style hash browns
1/3 cup shreaded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400*. Butter 1qt. casserole dish. 2. in sauce pan, saute' in butter over medium heat; onions and garlic till tender. stir in soup and cream cheese cubes; cook, strring occasionaly, until smooth and hot. 3. In casserole, alternate layer frozen potatoes and hot cream cheese sauce ending with a sauce layer. 4. Cover and bake 45 min. until sauce is bubly and potatoes are tender. Remove from oven and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
