Cream Cheese Frosting Low-Calorie image

This is a rich creamy frosting that is easy and delicious served on Pumpkin, spice or carrot cakes. I make this recipe all the time so I had to include it in my recipe collection.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 (8 ounce) package reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 drop imitation maple flavor
1/2 cup Splenda granular (no calorie artificial sweetener)
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Place frosting ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  • Mix on medium speed until well blended.
  • Ice cake when cake is completely cool.
  • Optional garnishes: Sprinkle finely chopped walnuts.
  • Makes enough to frost a two-layer 9 inches cake.
