Cranberry Orange Sauce - the best image

This is a quick and easy recipe. I usualy make the traditional cranberry relish with the navel oranges peel and all ground up. But this year I will be eating this..I had a little left over from the quart jar so I had it with the pork chops I had for dinner today..very nice accompaniment.

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 5

12 oz bag whole cranberries
1 c water
1/2 c granulated sugar
1/2 c stevia or other powdered sweetener
15 oz can mandarin oranges slices, well drained, reserve juice

Steps:

  • 1. Combine water and both sugars in a small saucepan. Stir and bring to a boil. Add the cranberries and bring back to a boil, stirring every once in awhile.
  • 2. When the second boil begins turn down heat and simmer for 8 minutes..until berries begin to pop...Smash most of the berries with masher or fork. Remove from heat.
  • 3. Add drained mandarian orange slices and gently stir into berry mixture. Pour into your serving dish, cover and chill until needed. To save room in my fridge I poured mine into a quart mason jar.
