Cottage Dessert image

I make this often, because it is so easy,, and great to make when company comes..kids love to eat this too...Other jello and drained fruit can be use too...

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 c cottage cheese
1 c dairy sour cream
8 oz tub of thawed cool whip
3 oz pkg. hawaiian harvest jello or lime jello
20 oz can pineapple chunks, drained well
chocolate chips or maraschino cherry for garnish

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl , combine cottage, sour cream and jello, dry right from the box. Stir to blend well.
  • 2. Fold in whipped topping. Fold in drained pineapple. Chill till set. Spoon into dessert dishes. Top with a cherry of chocolate chips.
  • 3. This mixture can also be spread into a chocolate cookie pie crust and chilled...cut and serve as pie, top with nuts and cherry.
