Cornflake Salisbury Steak image

Great with mashed potatoes, rice or butter noodles.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 pound(s) lean ground beef
1 egg
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup(s) cornflakes, crushed into crumbs
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1-2 dash(es) black pepper
1/4 cup(s) flour
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup(s) beef broth (or vegetable broth or water)
1-2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil (for browning the patties)

Steps:

  • Combine the lean ground beef, egg, chopped onion, milk, cornflake crumbs, salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties. Roll in flour and brown in hot oil.
  • Place in a baking dish; combine the cream of mushroom soup and broth, then pour over the meat patties.
  • Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until cooked through.
