Yield 1 Pint

Number Of Ingredients 4

2/3 c. Heavy Cream
1 1/3 c. 2% Milk
3/4 c Sugar
2 Tbl. Vanilla Extract

Steps:

  • Two things before you begin: 1) This comes out VERY sweet, when you mix it into your coffee, it is only mildly sweet. (Adjust sweetness according to your tastes). 2) Be sure to NOT boil the liquid. The heat never needs to exceed a temperature you can comfortably hold your finger in for a five-count. Pour all ingredients into a small or medium saucepan. Heat over low heat, slowly stirring once liquid reaches room temperature. Check spoon every few stirs to look for solid/runny sugar at bottom of pan. Once there is no more solid sugar, take it off the heat, transfer to a serving vessel and let cool on the counter until it gets to room temp. You can then stick it in the fridge.
