3 lbs potatoes, peeled
1/2 cup butter
1 -1 1/2 cup milk
1 cup flour
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon marjoram
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg

Steps:

  • Grate the raw potatoes.
  • Add all the other ingredients except the butter, which should be heating in a skillet or frying pan, and mix well. The batter should be thin, so add milk to achieve this result.
  • Pour in large thin pancakes and fry until crisp on both sides.
  • Serve the Czech style with pork cracklings on top.
