Classic Saffron Rice image

Flawless saffron rice, at least in my book.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup(s) basmati rice
2 cup(s) good chicken stock
1 tablespoon(s) butter (optional)
1 tablespoon(s) dried onion flakes
- sea salt to taste
1 pinch(es) saffron, crumbled

Steps:

  • Rinse the rice well, drain.
  • In a medium size saucepan, add the rinsed rice and remaining ingredients.
  • Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until stock is absorbed and rice is tender.
  • Fluff with fork and serve.
