Citrus Spice Salmon image

From the kitchen of field editor Courtney Stultz of Weir, Kansas: The citrus and spice blend really work well together to give this salmon a great flavor. We also sauteed some asparagus spears and baby potatoes to complete the meal.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 Tbsp coconut oil
2 small salmon fillets, boneless, skinless
1 tbsp Gustus Vitae spicy chocolate cinnamon cane sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 orange, zest and juice
1 lemon, zest and juice

Steps:

  • In a skillet, heat coconut oil. Add salmon fillets and sprinkle with spicy chocolate cinnamon sugar, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Pour orange and lemon juices and zest over salmon for the last few minutes of cooking.
