CINNAMON-RAISIN ROLLS image

1 T yeast
1 cup water
1/4 brown sugar + 2 T white sugar
1/4 cup oil
1/3 cup powdered milk
1 egg, beaten
3/4 tsp salt
3-4 cups flour
1 T lemon zest
Filling:
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 T butter
1/2-1 cup raisins
Frosting:
3/4 cup powdered sugar
Juice

Steps:

  • Heat water for 45 sec. in microwave. Dissolve yeast in water and sprinkle with 2 T sugar. Allow to become bubbly (15 min.). Add remaining ingredients to form a soft dough. Knead. Roll into a large rectangle and spread filling ingredients evenly. Roll up and slice into 12 pieces. Let rise overnight. Allow to come to room temperature before baking for 30 min. at 350 oven.
