CINNAMON COFFEE CAKE image

This is an old recipe. Mother used to make this for the family. I used to make it for my children when they were at home.

Number Of Ingredients 16

Ingredients

BATTER
CREAM
1/4 c butter flavor crisco
3/4 c granulated sugar
THEN, ADD
1 large egg, unbeaten
SIFT FLOUR AND BAKING POWDER
2 c flour
3 tsp baking powder
ADD FLOUR MIXTURE ALTERNATELY TO CRISCO AND SUGAR AND THE MILK
3/4 c milk
TOPPING
1/4 c granulated sugar
3 tsp cinnamon
2 Tbsp flour
2 Tbsp melted butter

Steps:

1. Spread half of the batter in a 9 x 9 inch pan.
2. Sprinkle half of the topping over the batter in pan. Add remaining batter - then remaining topping.
3. Bake at 350º
