CHRISTMAS TOFFEE image

Yield 1 13 x 9 pan

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup unsalted butter
1 1/3 cup sugar
1 Tbsp whiskey
some salt
1 cup crushed pistachios
1 1/2 cup dark chocolate

Steps:

  • In a pot, combine butter, sugar, whiskey and salt. Stir with a wooden spoon as the butter and sugar combine and then continue, adjusting the heat, until mixture reaches a dark golden colour. Pour in to lined pan (!2x9 or so), and then sprinkle with the nuts. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and then spread over the toffee. Let cool and then cut in to pieces.
