CHOCOLATE CHIP CHEESECAKE BROWNIE image

200g Butter, softened
180g Brown Sugar
80g Castor Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
3 Nos. Eggs
250g Plain Flour, sifted
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
180g Semisweet Chocolate Chips
Cream Cheese Batter :
225g Cream Cheese, softened
25g Castor Sugar
1 No. Egg, lightly beaten
120g Chopped Nuts (Pecan, Walnut etc)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 170 Deg Celsius. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan. 2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown and castor sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in Vanilla Essence. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Blend dry ingredients into the creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Set aside. 3. In a seperate bowl, mix together the cream cheese and castor sugar. Mix in the remaining eggs. 4. Spread half of the chocolate chip dough into the bottom of the greased pan. Pour cream cheese batter on top of dough. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Drop pieces of the remaining chocolate chip dough over the filling. Do not worry about the gaps; the batter will spread. 5. Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven or till lightly browned on top. Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting into bars. 24 Servings
