Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Mousse Filling - Paula Deen image

6 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
⅓ cup heavy whipping cream
½ cup butter, softened
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
6 cups confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, cook chocolate and cream over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat, and let cool for 30 minutes. In a large bowl, beat butter and cream cheese with a mixer at medium speed until creamy. Add chocolate mixture, beating until smooth. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating until combined. Use immediately.
