Number Of Ingredients 15

4 lbs chicken
1 C diced Beef
1/2 C Pork
1 bunch carrots
4 stalks of celery
1 1/2 quarts potatoes
1/2 medium cabbage
3 large oinoins
2/3 package split peas
1 can tomatoes
1 can pork and beans
1 can tomato juice
1/4 pound butter
Juice of one lemon
Salt & Pepper

Steps:

  • Boil (covered) until tender chicken and diced beef with salt.
  • Skim off the scum.
  • Add pork and cook.
  • Dice carrots, celery,potatoes, cabbage and onions.
  • Add split peas and cook until tender.
  • Add tomatoes, pork and beans and tomato juice.
  • Cook about one hour.
  • Add butter and lemon.
  • Add Salt and pepper to taste.
