Steps:
- 1. Cook your penne according to package directions to al dente. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2. While your pasta water is coming to a boil, cook your cubed chicken seasoned with 1 tsp ranch dressing powder over medium heat until no longer pink.
- 3. Cook your diced onion in a separate pan until soft and translucent.
- 4. While pasta is cooking, mix together in a bowl the mayo, sour cream and 3 tbsp of ranch dressing mix.
- 5. Stir in half of crumbled bacon and one cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- 6. In large mixing bowl, mix pasta, chicken and onions.
- 7. Add in mayo mixture. Combine thoroughly.
- 8. Pour in milk and mix completely.
- 9. Pour mixture into a 13 x9 casserole dish.
- 10. Top with other half of bacon and one cup of cheddar.
- 11. Cook at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
- 12. Remove from oven and top with the French fried onions.
- 13. Return to oven for 10 minutes until hot, bubbly and French fried onions are golden. Enjoy!
