Cherry Ham Canapes image

Great starter when you have friends over for game night.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 pkg (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 Tbsp orange juice
1/2 tsp grated orange peel
2 Tbsp finely chopped walnuts
16 slice party rye bread
4 slice thinly sliced ham
16 fresh sweet cherries, pitted

Steps:

  • 1. Combine cream cheese, orange juice and peel, and walnuts.
  • 2. Spread about 1/2 teaspoon of the cheese mixture on each slice of bread,
  • 3. Cut each slice of ham into 4 triangles; place one triangle on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  • 4. Top each canape with a pitted cherry, secured with a toothpick.
