Cheesy Potato Cassarole image

These are easy and my family loves them. Things don't have to be hard to make to taste good.

Number Of Ingredients 9

6 potatoes (peeled)
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c milk
2 Tbsp butter
1 8 oz carton sour cream
1/4 c chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper or to taste
cooked and chopped bacon (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Cook potatoes and mash with a fork. Combine cheese, butter and milk in a saucepan and cook over low heat until butter and cheese melts.
  • 2. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, onions, salt, pepper and cooked bacon (if you are using it). Fold in potatoes.
  • 3. Put mixture in a 2 quart casserole and dot with butter. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
