Cheeseburger Pie with Bisquick image

Cheeseburger Pie with Bisquick is an easy ground beef dinner recipe loaded with shredded cheese, diced onions and diced tomatoes.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 lb lean ground beef
1 cup diced yellow onion
1/2 cup diced fresh tomatoes
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Biquick mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs, large
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp onion powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400F.
  • Dump the ground beef into a large saute pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the diced onions to the pan with the ground beef.
  • Crumble the ground beef well as it cooks.
  • Once the ground beef is fully cooked remove the pan from the heat and drain the grease from the pan.
  • Add the diced tomatoes and 1 cup of the shredded cheese to the pan.
  • Stir all of the ingredients together well.
  • Dump the ground beef mixture into a greased 9 inch pie plate and spread it out evenly.
  • Pour the Bisquick mix, milk and eggs into a mixing bowl.
  • Whisk all of the ingredients together well.
  • Add the salt, pepper and onion powder to the bowl and whisk well again.
  • Pour the batter over the ground beef mixture in the pie plate.
  • Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes remove the pie from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheese on top.
  • Return the pie to the oven and continue baking until the cheese on top is completely melted and just starting to brown. 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to sit for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
