CASSEROLED CARROTS AND CELERY image

2 1/2 cups carrot slices, 1/4 inch think
2 cups celery slices, 1/4 inch thick
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon each: ground ginger, salt
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon snipped parsley

Steps:

  • Combine carrots and celery in baking dish. Mix butter, sugar, ginger, salt, pepper, and 1/4 cup hot water; pour over veretables, stirring gently to coat. cover; bake in 375 oven about 1 hour or until vegetables are as tender as desired. Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.
