Candy Strawberries image

Here is another tasty treat that I helped my mom make around Christmas time growing up. When I make them now people look at them and don't get it. Then they take a bite and get it. They are really good and have great texture! I borrowed this picture but will post my own when I make them again soon!

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 oz package of strawberry jello
1 c ground pecans
1 c ground coconut
3/4 c condensed milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 c sugar (divided)
red and green food coloring

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together jello powder, pecans, coconut, condensed milk and vanilla.
  • 2. Shape into strawberries. Use damp hands, this can get sticky! Place in a large dish and chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
  • 3. Divide the sugar up and mix red coloring in one bowl and green in another. Mix together with a fork.
  • 4. Roll the strawberries in the red sugar first then dip the top in the green. Makes about 48 depending on how big you make them.
