CALIFORNIA WALNUT GRANOLA image

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 c. Oats, rolled, quick cooking (not instant)
2 c. Wheat Bran, natural
1.5 c. California Walnuts, chopped
0.5 c. Honey, liquid
2 t. Vanilla
1.5 c. Raisins (or dried cranberries, chopped dried apples, apricots, or mixed dried fruit)
Fresh fruit for garnish, as desired

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl stir together oatmeal, bran and walnuts. 2. In small microwavable bowl, combine honey and vanilla, microwave on high for about 20 seconds or more until more runny. Stir to mix; pour over dry ingredients and toss to coat well. 3. Spread evenly in large shallow baking pan and bake in 300 degree oven for about 30 minutes, or until golden, stirring two or three times. 4. Cool completely; it will crisp as it cools. Stir in raisins or dried fruit; store in airtight container.
