3 cups chickpea flour
6 cups cold water
1/4 pint oil
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Mix the flour and salt with the water, cover and leave to stand for about 3 hours.
  • pour the oil into a baking tray, or tin,(deep tray or tin) allowing sufficient to cover the bottom of the tin, and heat in the oven.
  • beat the flour mixture and season.
  • when thoroughly hot pour in the flour mixture and bake in a quick oven (reg 8) for about half an hour, or until a golden crust forms on top.
