Caipirinha Cocktail image

Cachaca is a Brazilian rumlike liquor made from sugarcane and can be found in most liquor stores.

Yield Makes 1 pitcher

Number Of Ingredients 5

6 limes, ends trimmed, cut lengthwise into 8 wedges, then crosswise into 1/2-inch pieces
3/4 cup simple syrup
2 cups cachaca, chilled
5 cups ice
1 cup cold water

Steps:

  • Place limes and simple syrup in a large pitcher and muddle until limes begin to break down. Add cachaca, ice, and cold water to pitcher. Stir well and serve.
