Cafe South's Chocolate Pecan Pie image

My husbands grandmother baked for her sisters restaurant, The Cafe South in Milledgeville Georgia. This is one of their beloved desserts. Enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup(s) sugar
1/2 cup(s) ap flour
1/8 teaspoon(s) salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1/2 cup(s) melted butter
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
1 cup(s) chopped pecans
1 cup(s) semi sweet chocolate chips
1 9" frozen pie shell thawed

Steps:

  • PREHEAT OVEN TO 325 DEGREES.
  • MIX SUGAR FLOUR SALT & BAKING POWDER. ADD MELTED BUTTER EGGS AND VANILLA. BLEND WELL. STIR IN NUTS AND CHOCOLATE CHIPS. POUR INTO PIE SHELL.
  • BAKE 1 HOUR AND 10 MINUTES. DELICIOUS SERVED WARM OR COLD! GREAT TOPPED WITH ICE CREAM!
