This soup is yum yummy! It is not real heavy, but of course I put fried onions and grated cheese on top to add those extra calories. You can add some Ham to this soup, I have done that before and it turned out real good. So if you have some leftover ham from the holidays this might be something you can put it in.

Steps:
- In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, saute onion in butter until tender.
- Add the water, cabbage, potatoes, bouillon, pepper and garlic.
- Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Stir in ham; heat through. (optional)
- Serve with cornbread and enjoy!
