Buttercup Squash with Apples image

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 buttercup or other small winter squash, cut in half, seeds and fibers removed (1 pound)
1/2 cup chopped tart apple
2 teaspoons packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons butter or margarine, softened
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
dash of ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 400°. Place squash halves cut sides up in ungreased rectangular baking dish, 11 X 7 X 1 1/2 inches.2. Mix remaining ingredients spoon into squash.
